We’ll be honest — we were a bit skeptical about these “talents” you claimed to possess. But you proved us wrong with a great night of singing, drag and skits. And together we raised almost $10,000 for great charities, the Rainbow Health Initiative and The Bridge for Youth. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You done good.
Tonight’s events are still on the same time schedule (see previous post), even with the rain delay. You can buy tickets at the door, and it’s open to the public. $5 for the Tournament Seeding Party and $5 for the Talent Show. All donated to great charities.
The show’s host, Lucy Stoole, is currently en route. Here’s her latest Facebook post on the event page:
AquaNet One is airborne with Ms. Stoole. They will land at Upper Hennepin County International Airport/Haircare & Yoga Center shortly. She will then board Hair Force One.
We’re going to pack this 1,000-seat theater full for a great talent show. Plus, pre- and post-parties afterward on the rooftop of Seven Restaurant, right next door in downtown Minneapolis.
5 p.m. Skybar rooftop happy hour
7 p.m. Theater doors open
8 p.m. The show begins
Tournament seedings will be announced throughout the Talent Show.
If you haven’t yet picked up your Out in the Stands tickets, you can do so tonight at the Renaissance Hotel patio from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The hotel is located at 225 S. 3rd Avenue in Minneapolis. Tickets must have been pre-ordered.
Opening Ceremonies are over and out. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, though we’re mainly relieved nothing caught fire with those hot air balloons. More photos are posted on our Facebook page.
After the Opening Ceremony, drive a few blocks north to Lush, one of our gay bar sponsors. They’re normally closed on Monday, but will be open tonight for a special Welcome Party.
Hey you! If you’re going to Out in the Stands tomorrow, you must pick up your tickets and T-shirts today at the Crowne Plaza in Bloomington before 3 p.m.
